Ingredients for Mawa Gujiya Semolina:-

For dough-

300 grams of flour

¼ cup melted ghee

½ cup warm water

For filling:

200 grams roasted mawa

100 grams of toasted semolina

½ cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons chopped cashews

2 tablespoons of raisins

2 tablespoons chopped almonds

1 tablespoon melon meringue

1 tablespoon chiroji

¼ teaspoon cardamom powder

To fry-

oil or butter

Method to make Suji Mawa Gujiya:-

Prepare the dough-

  1. To prepare the dough, take a large bowl and add flour and ¼ cup of melted ghee into the bowl.
  2. Now slowly pour the warm water that you have taken into the flour and knead and prepare a slightly hard dough and keep it covered.

Prepare the filling-

  1. To prepare the filling, take a large bowl. Now put cold mawa in the bowl because the powdered sugar will melt in the hot mawa and the filling will start to thin. For this reason, cool the mawa and add it.
  2. Now add all the dry fruits, semolina and mawa in the bowl and mix everything well. Now add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to this mixture and mix. Now your filling is ready.

Make Gujiya-

  1. To make Gujiya, make small balls of flour. Now roll the dough like a puri and roll it thinly. The layer should not be too thick. Now you have to take a Gujiya making machine and put puri made of flour in it.
  2. Now put 1 tablespoon of the mixture in the machine and apply the flour mixture all over and press. In the same way we will prepare all the Gujiyas.

Gujiya bass-

  1. To fry Gujiya, add oil as needed to the pan and let the oil heat up when hot. So turn the heat on to medium heat and drop the Gujiya into the oil.
  2. Now fry the Gujiya well until it turns golden brown. Similarly, fry all the Gujiyas prepared in the same way and take them out.
